The unemployment rate around the world has already risen from what it used to be in the 20th century. Today, the world tech. companies are developing robots and programmed machines to take the place of the human workers. For example, there was talk that I read over the news that there are some companies planning to make a driver-less car where you can sit down and relax while the car drives you around. The use of drivers will be useless and all drivers will probably be fired/quit their job. Also the facilities that give you your license for driving will be completely useless with driver-less cars in the future. I think the work tech. companies put in to these stupid projects can be put to better use. I honestly don't know to what other use but there is probably something that is more important than the increase of the unemployment rate.
